Yamaha LLX6A Gloss Natural 2012 Electro-Acoustic Guitar

This is a Yamaha LLX6A electro-acoustic guitar in a Gloss Natural finish. Built in China in 2012, this guitar features a Solid Engelmann Spruce A.R.E. (Acoustic Resonance Enhancement) top, Rosewood back and sides, 3-ply Mahogany & Rosewood neck and a 20 fret Ebony fingerboard with matching bridge. A set of Gold sealed tuning machines are fitted along with a System 57CB 3way A.R.T. shoulder mounted system.

The 3-ply Mahogany & Rosewood neck sits very comfortably in the hand, with a profile that could be described as a ‘C’, feeling slim in the hand and offering ergonomic thumb positioning up and down the neck. The Ebony fingerboard is pleasant to the touch, and with its 15.75” radius provides a nicely flat and consistent playing surface making both chordal and fingerpicking styles of playing a breeze. The LL body design fills the arms nicely, and provides a lively and responsive playing experience with a sound that can really be felt.

The mixture of Solid Engelmann Spruce top and Rosewood sides provide rich, warm, and responsive sounds, this with the modified non-scalloped bracing design retains the L series’ characteristic bright tone while enhancing low-end tone. This helps to balance the highs, mids, and lows of the guitar’s sound, and accommodates a wide range of playing styles and techniques. The System 57CB 3way A.R.T. system provides a natural and balanced amplified sound, faithfully reproducing the guitar’s acoustic tone with the added shoulder mounted controls, this guitar provides a great plug in and play singer/songwriter guitar.

Aesthetic Condition:

Headstock: Overall very good condition. The top edge of the headstock demonstrates light indentations to the rear edge, these have lightly pierced the finish and can only be seen under close scrutiny. The front face demonstrates light scratching which can only be seen under direct light, these are most apparent surrounding the tuning posts.

Neck: Overall very good condition. The rear of the neck demonstrates a number of light indentations, largely around the edges, however none of which can be felt underhand in a playing position or impair playing comfort. The fingerboard displays some light lateral scratching across the register, these can be seen under direct light and can not be felt in the playing position.

Body: Overall good condition. Two mild indentations are present to the front face lower bout, one located centrally and the other on the bass side both of which slightly break the finish but do not expose the wood beneath. Light indentations are also present to all aspects of the body, these can be seen under close scrutiny and have not broken the finish. Light to mild scratching is present to all aspects of the body, the most prominent of these can be seen to the center of the rear face consistent with buckle rash.

Condition of Frets:

The first five frets demonstrate light indentations and a flattening of the crown, not effecting playability. There is material remaining for any future fret work the new owner may wish to perform.
